Overview: Web Design and Digital Marketing for a New Zealand- based sewing machine supplier.
Deliverables: The first phase of the project was to redesign a very successful, but dated Shopify website. Because of the volume and value of the orders currently being placed online, there was no room for error when launching the new online store. To ensure the best possible transition to the new design, I used Hotjar and Google Analytics to understand how current customers were using the site, what was working well and where there was room for improvement. From there, I redesigned the store to incorporate elements of the old site, but bring a modern clean look and, most importantly, to provide a responsive design for mobile and tablet users. I am now working with Direct Sewing to deliver SEO, Google Ads and Facebook Ads. Since launch, I have added further customisations to the site, including pre-order functionality for out of stock products.
Results: In the 30 days post-launch, the new site drove an increase of 23% more orders, 72% higher average order value and a 112% overall increase in online sales versus the previous period. in the year post launch, online sales have increased by 251%.
